I am a Sonoma and San Francisco-based artist, whose paintings have been exhibited and collected internationally.  I also spend  part of the year in Umbria where I paint to capture the slow yet vibrant life of my ancestors' home.  For over twenty years, I have sought to record moments of observation, mostly from photographs, that bring me back to my roots surrounded by farmland or quiet contempltion within the tapestry of large cities. 

Sometimes I visit my paintings in the night just to see what happened.  I am always surprised.
